Trading Hut

The Trading Hut has become the focal point for many activities on site over recent years. There are always a bunch of plot holders and members there on a Sunday morning buying fertilisers etc., or simply socialising. The range of products on sale is improving all the time and good horticultural advice is in abundance.

The Trading Hut is very often the first point of contact for new members and we ensure the prices are always competitive. If you are interested in helping out in the Trading Hut - either behind the counter or working behind the scene weighing and bagging up products, we are always looking for extra volunteers ... so please pop in and have a word with us - you will be made very welcome!

Come along and stock up on gardening products at keen prices. We have a useful range of Stock Items, including various composts, potash for your fruit bushes and trees, lime for the brassicas, and your favourite general fertiliser - organic or otherwise. In addition, at various times of the year we also have Seasonal Items, which are listed below when available.

Trading Hut Opening 2023

Here is the full list of this year's opening dates:

• Sunday February 12, 19
• Saturday March 4th, and Sunday March 12, 19, 26
• Saturday April 1 and Sunday April 9, 16, 23, 30
• Sunday May 7, 14, 21, 28
• Saturday June 3, and Sunday June 11, 18, 25
• Saturday July 1, and Sunday July 9, 16
• Closed in August, but there will be an email service available - details to follow
• Saturday September 2, and Sunday September 10, 17, 24
• Sunday October 1

The Trading Hut will be open from 10.30am to 12.30 in February and 10.30 to 12.00 noon for the other months.

Please check for any changes before making a special trip.

On sale at the Trading Hut from Sunday 10th September 10.30am to 12.00 noon. Please bring the correct money if possible.

Finally, if there are any members who are able to spare a couple of hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning to help in the Trading Hut, we would love to hear from you. We have a rota, so you would only have to help one week in every five or six. Any assistance will be much appreciated.
